Travel Trade® is the oldest and leading privately-held trade publication serving the U.S. travel agent industry, celebrating 79 years of continuous publication in 2008. It is the only ABC-audited (Audit Bureau of Circulations) paid weekly subscription publication with a total circulation of 44,319, including some 40,000 qualified paid subscribers. Paid subscription renewal percentage is about 87%. Approximately 70% of our readers are home based and independent travel agents. The publication serves agents selling cruises, tours and leisure travel. Travel suppliers represent approximately 4,000 of the total qualified readership.
Travel Trade® reports on the latest industry news in print and online. Its newspaper is weekly, and it also publishes these special supplements: Cruise Trade®, Home Based Trade® as well as the Annual Cruise Directory and Co-Op Host Guide. Online, it offers a daily e-mail newsletter, and it offers breaking news daily on its TravelTrade.com website.
In addition, Travel Trade owns two industry trade shows: the Leisure Travel Conference, held in Ft. Lauderdale in November-December as well as Cruise-A-Thon in Vancouver, May 2008. It holds these two industry leading trade shows annually. The shows consist of presentations by industry leaders, CLIA seminars, workshops and authorized ship inspections by agents in Port Everglades, Port of Miami and, in alternating years, the ports of Vancouver and Seattle.
